The Associate Director,

_ACE Commercial Operations - Launch Excellence and Centre Expansion role _will be the commercial go-to person for new product indication planning & launch readiness in close alignment with the Tech Ops commercialization Team.

In addition, the role will champion the Commercial Site Qualification Process (SQP), strategy, planning and implementation for Kite in ACE, strengthening Kite's Authorized Treatment Centres (ATC) footprint.


Launch Excellence:


This role involves close collaboration and partnership with the Tech Ops organization to effectively plan for TechOps-launch readiness per market.

Strong stakeholder management essential in order to effectively communicate, align and set expectations for launch readiness timings & processes to local teams.


Centre Expansion:


This role involves SQP metrics and KPIs monitoring and will collaborate extensively across functions within this region to ensure effective development, implementation, delivery and monitoring of SQP in line with country-specific needs.

In addition, this role should serve as the SME in terms of practical commercial CQ implementation and execution. Acting as a guide/coach for local CTAMs, the successful individual will help problem solve and overcome market/centre specific challenges.

The position is based in Stockley Park, UK and reports directly to the Director, Commercial Operations, ACE Region. Remotely located applicants, within Europe, will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with ACE markets, TechOps Quality and Commercialization Teams, support the TechOps Launch Readiness plan and be the Commercial Lead for the Regional Launch Leadership Team
  • Yescarta & Tecartus Centre Qualification Plan
  • Update & maintained the centre qualification plan for Yescarta & Tecartus
  • Plan & facilitate centre kick offs & dry run process planning
  • Routine status reporting & communication to Commercial Leadership Team & Cross Functional Team covering centre qualification metrics & contracting
  • Ongoing centre qualification issue identification, risk assessment, resolution, best practice sharing & issue escalation as appropriate
  • Facilitation of process for requesting additional Centres for qualification source & evaluate commercial business case & plan capacity with Site Quality Team
  • Develop and solicit feedback loops for new and existing ATCs to further enhance customer experience
  • Work closely with the ACE L&D lead, support the development of the CQ training plan for ACE region
  • Develop and update the Centre Qualification Modules used in SQP
  • Codevelop CQ trainings (content and structure); (virtual and/or F2F) for new CTAMs as part of onboarding processes
  • Evaluate, define and develop ongoing training needs and requirements as needed for both new and more experienced CTAMs
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrable professional experience within the biotechnology/ pharmaceutical industry, ideally on local, regional and global levels
  • Proven experience in new indication/new product launch readiness, preferably within the Cell Therapy space
  • Strong and demonstrable SQP and launch planning experience from strategy to execution
  • Thorough understanding of SQP and TechOps commercialization principles and practices
  • Ability to support the markets with local SQP commercial training and lead execution of the processes in partnership with local affiliates
  • Ability to support & educate the markets new product launch planning and colead the execution of the processes in partnership with TechOps teams
  • Strong understanding of the hematology/oncology clinical landscape and of the Cell Therapy business
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinat
