    Responsibilities of a Year6 teacher:

    As a Year 6 teacheryou will be responsible for the pastoral care of children takingtheir first steps in Key Stage 2 promoting teamwork and cultivatinga conducive learning environment.

    Teaching theKey Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing oneach individual childs learning targets encouraging their strengthsand improving their weaknesses

    Furtherdeveloping maths ability and introducing fractions statistics andgeometry

    Help children develop their writingability by creating plots characters and settings forstories.

    Keeping track of childrens progress andoccasionally reporting back toparents

    Year 6 Teacherrequirements:

    QTS PGCE and strongacademic record

    Creative imaginative determinedresourceful and adaptable practitioner

    Passionate about learning

    Able to demonstrate atrack record of success within a Year 6environment

    Able to communicate your passion tochildren and parents

    Ability to demonstrateoutstanding practice in theclassroom
