    We are seeking a dedicated Engineer - Combustion to join our team at a HMP The Mount, a Category C & men's prison.

    We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Engineer - Combustion with any combination of:

    • Must be familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
    • Must be familiar with and able to work to Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards
    • Experience of working with commercial catering gas appliances would be beneficia
    • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent

    • Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units


    • COCN

    • Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units

    GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM services will in future be delivered by the private sector.

    This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will transfer to a private sector provider/providers in Spring 2026.
