FTTP Installation engineer - Hull

Up to £34,000 p.a + Vehicle & Tools

You will be working within our Rural Gigabit engineering team, making a difference by building/installing/maintaining fixed wireless and fibre customers within rural areas.

This will involve blowing FWA, PIA, Fibre and working at heights. You will need amazingcustomer facing skills and have a logical problem solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities

You will be making a difference by building/installing/maintaining fixed wireless and fibre networks within rural areas.
Customer connections (internals and externals)
Troubleshooting customer issues when a service visit is required
Liaising with both colleagues and customers; keeping in regular contact with each member of your team
Being punctual and conducting all work to Connexin's high standards.
OOH oncall work may be required on a rota basis
Ensure the appropriate H&S is adhered to at all times.
Correct use of safety equipment and procedures

Essential qualifications, skills, competencies and experience

Working knowledge of Telecoms/Broadband
An understanding and some experience of IT networking
Motivation to work alone but also be a great team player
Ability to analyse and solve problems whilst under pressure
Comfortable working at heights
Selfmotivated with a high degree of initiative
A genuine interest in the IT sector with the ability to suggest and implement new technologies as they emerge
Able to manage your own workload and hit the ground running
Fibre/Fixed Wireless/PIA (must have experience in at least one area although all are desired)
Experience of working for an ISP is desirable but not essential.

Good level of organisational skills.
Ability to work across a number of different systems and platforms.
Ability to work to and meet tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience of achieving critical deadlines
Ability to identify engineering risks and associated solutions
Working at height from ladders and MEWPs
Fibre Splicing (desirable)
Record keeping and communication of the work completed.
Working to timescales
Driving license
