FTTP Installation engineer - Hull
Up to £34,000 p.a + Vehicle & Tools

You will be working within our Rural Gigabit engineering team, making a difference by building/installing/maintaining fixed wireless and fibre customers within rural areas.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be making a difference by building/installing/maintaining fixed wireless and fibre networks within rural areas.
- Customer connections (internals and externals)
- Troubleshooting customer issues when a service visit is required
- Liaising with both colleagues and customers; keeping in regular contact with each member of your team
- Being punctual and conducting all work to Connexin's high standards.
- OOH oncall work may be required on a rota basis
- Ensure the appropriate H&S is adhered to at all times.
- Correct use of safety equipment and procedures
Essential qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
- Working knowledge of Telecoms/Broadband
- An understanding and some experience of IT networking
- Motivation to work alone but also be a great team player
- Ability to analyse and solve problems whilst under pressure
- Comfortable working at heights
- Selfmotivated with a high degree of initiative
- A genuine interest in the IT sector with the ability to suggest and implement new technologies as they emerge
- Able to manage your own workload and hit the ground running
- Fibre/Fixed Wireless/PIA (must have experience in at least one area although all are desired)
- Experience of working for an ISP is desirable but not essential.
- Collaborative mindset
- Developing successful relationships within and outside of the team.
- Good level of organisational skills.
- Ability to work across a number of different systems and platforms.
- Ability to work to and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience of achieving critical deadlines
- Ability to identify engineering risks and associated solutions
- Working at height from ladders and MEWPs
- Fibre Splicing (desirable)
- Record keeping and communication of the work completed.
- Working to timescales
- Driving license
