    The Department

    The History Department within the humanities directorate is a supportive, dedicated and passionate department staffed by a small and cohesive team who work together to achieve excellent outcomes for students. The vision and commitment of the outgoing head of department in developing the curriculum has been recognised by the Princes Teaching Institute centre of excellence quality mark.

    The Role

    We are seeking a leader who will have a strong commitment to curriculum development, ensuring that results at GCSE continue to improve, A-Level results become outstanding and 6th form recruitment is maximised.

    You will be able to develop and deliver strategies and plans to address SEN support and outcomes and put literacy and numeracy at the forefront for improving student outcomes.

    You will have the creativity and commitment to retain the department's award-wining status and develop the co-curricular and extra-curricular offer through our outdoor education centre in Worcestershire.

    You will have a strong commitment to effective behaviour management within a restorative practice framework. You will have the proven ability to manage and support staff and maintain momentum and morale
