Position Summary
An extremely varied role for a Facilities Assistant/ Officer, responsible for assisting the management support team at Samsung Research UK.
The core tasks of the assistant is to support Planning with business requests and to facilitate a smooth day-to-day running of the office.
Role and Responsibilities- Managing the Facilities Help Desk, logging day to day requests- Liaising with suppliers and contractors- Management of all keys including Pedestals - ordering replacements etc.- Assign/ replace and delete temporary and permanent cards- Assist Senior Management with regular business requests and ad-hoc requests when required,- Monitoring, maintaining stationery and ordering- Assisting Facilities Manager with tendering and other documentation- Ensuring all contracts / service level agreement are renewed in a timely manner on Samsung Electronics Legal Management Systems- Walk the floors to inspect and report for handyman works, check general housekeeping standards are in place and report if any issues- Ensure meeting rooms are left tidy- Assisting with internal events - Health & Wellbeing week etc Distribute and manage incoming and outgoing mail for business, including courier requests.- Assisting with Health & Safety matters - First aiders, fire wardens etc., ordering materials for first aid- Day to day liaising with onsite catering company- Liaising with Landlord for supplier approvals, onsite works- Managing Helpdesk- Managing Samsung Research Portal- Purchasing office stock such as Stationery, cleaning supplies, kitchen etc.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
- Extensive proven experience in a similar facilities role
- Competent with Microsoft Office packages
- Trained first aider
- Trained fire warden
- IOSH certified
Essential Job Requirements:
- Cheerful and positive disposition with a can do attitude
- Must be able to demonstrate strong writing and communication skills
- Must have strong organizational skills and good attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload effectively and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Must be efficient in Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint
- Flexible approach to hybrid working hours and able to work out of hours / weekends if and when required
- Selfstarter and solution driven
- Confident

Hybrid Working:
Standard working week will be 4 days working from the office and 1 day working from home
