The Supply Room is seeking dedicated and passionate Classroom Assistants to join a SEND school in Branksome, Poole.
This post is to start immediately, following a successful interview and satisfactory background check. Term time only and permanent role. Working hours are 08:4- 15:45.
The Role:
As a Classroom Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for the pupils in your care.
This will be conducted through 1-1 and small group support, helping pupils achieve their goals through enriching experiences and alongside a meaningful, adapted curriculum.
Pupils are taught in appropriate Key Stage groups, tailored to their individual needs. You will collaboratively work with other support staff in the classroom to provide person centred support during meaningful activities.The role may require elements of personal care however, full introductory training will be provided to all successful applicants.

We are searching for individuals who have a genuine desire to work in a specialist educational environment on a long-term basis and those who have a particular interest in supporting children or young people with learning disabilities.
ou must have professional or volunteer experience supporting children or vulnerable adults. Previous experience with learning disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay and physical disabilities would be beneficial.
Other important characteristics include empathy, patience and a positive attitude with determination and commitment to the wellbeing of the pupils in your care, alongside exceptional communication skills.
