    Tes is supporting the appointment of a Head of Department: Mathematics to join a Private School based in Cyprus.

    The school is happy to announce the professional opportunity within their Private School team for a dedicated teacher with leadership experience as a candidate for a Head of Mathematics.

    They are in the process of building the teachers' staff for a soon-to-be-opened Private School in Paphos (Cyprus) with 400+ students. The opening is planned for the autumn of 2024.

    The teaching language is English, and some of the teachers' teams are Russian-speaking.

    They are looking for a candidate with the following assets:

  • At least 3 years of successful department leadership experience;
  • University degree in pedagogics;
  • Expertise in personalized competency-based learning (PCBL) and instructional design;
  • Excellent proven leadership and communication skills;
  • Knowledge of advanced and international teaching and learning methods;
  • Willingness to teach as well as to lead the department;
  • English language proficiency – advanced level or native The Role's Responsibilities:
  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating the educational process, and curriculum of the department;
  • Promoting and coordinating effective strategies and programs that are based on contemporary learning and teaching research;
  • Methodological supervising, curriculum implementation monitoring, and control of teachers' pedagogical activity and the teacher-staff work balance; They are offering:
