    Reed Finance are working with a well-known organisation based on the outskirts of Edinburgh looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance team. This role is pivotal in the preparation and reporting of weekly management accounts and operational reports, supporting decision-making within the business. The ideal candidate will be well-organised, confident working with staff at all levels, and possess an eye for detail. Proficiency in Excel and excellent presentation skills are essential to ensure all reporting is accurate, meaningful, and supports the strategic aims and key deliverables of the business.

    Day to Day of the role:

    • Reconcile external stocks and review weekly stock reports & analysis.
    • Prepare procurement analysis reports and maintain production and raw material prices.
    • Support the Finance Director in delivering strategic projects/objectives and provide financial information to help the business meet its objectives.
    • Assist the Financial Controller as required, especially during holidays.
    • Continuously review people, processes, and procedures to ensure departmental and organisational goals are met and strengthened.
    • Manage daily cash flow and bank reporting requirements as needed.
    • Work proactively with Accounts Payable/Receivables functions to resolve customer/supplier stock claims/disputes.
    • Provide financial & cost modelling to support projects/business decisions.
    • Challenge and support the business, encouraging a one-team culture and a can-do approach.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Part-Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience with previous experience in a similar role.
    • Understanding of the manufacturing process and costing experience would be an advantage.
    • Strong Excel modelling and presentation skills.
    • Experience with Systems Integration (SI) and/or Microsoft Navision is beneficial, though not essential.
