Operating at a strategic level this person will be a key member of the senior team developing and leading on the People Agenda within the business.

They will build strong and effective relationships across the business using previous experience gained with FS or other regulated industry.

They will ideally have a successful track record of delivery during transformational change and proven man management skills.


What you'll be doing:


  • Support assigned Board member developing People Plan for each Division to support Divisional objectives.
  • Lead people strategy and determine how to enhance the business areas pursuit of overall business objectives through its people.
  • Implement appropriate succession planning strategies, guided by central policy and process but tailoring where required and contribute to workforce planning.
  • Implement appropriate talent management and pay management practices, guided by central policy and process but tailoring where required.
  • Identify areas for improving performance through people.
  • Champion the I&D agenda and ensure progress against I&D goals.
  • Support Divisional promotions and career pathway processes, drawing on objective criteria/data when considering proposals and ensuring centrally defined process is adhered to.
  • Support and implement OD and other change initiatives into the business.
  • Set up appropriate employee engagement channels and embed culture strategy into designated business areas.

Who we're looking for:


  • In depth knowledge and understanding of HR. Will need to operate as an expert within the business and be consulted on all people related matters.
  • Be key member of leadership team and the authority on HR and People for all employee related matters.
  • Strong consultation skills and commercial awareness.
  • Strong understanding of how HR contributes to the goals of the business.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SJP business and understanding of FS industry.
  • Good analytical skills able to evaluate complex factual and qualitative information.
  • Able to use multiple sources of information
  • MI, People Policies, industry best practice to solve issues.
  • High level communication skills including interactive listening and able to influence Senior Stakeholders across the wider business.
