    Preqin seeks an Analyst to join the Research Insights team, reporting to the Head of Real Assets. The role involves providing data-driven commentary on alternative asset classes and presenting Preqin's views at industry events and client meetings. As part of a global team of industry experts, the Analyst will contribute to institutional research with high engagement across private markets. Strong communication skills are essential, along with a passion for advancing in private markets by engaging clients in research development and presenting findings through various channels, including conferences and media.

    What you'll be doing:
    • Write compelling, practitioner-focused and market-leading analysis, leveraging our expansive alternative assets data to help clients better anticipate industry trends and inform investment decisions
    • Present Preqin's data-driven perspective to existing and prospective clients to highlight the value of our Research Insights product and wider data offering
    • Communicate Preqin's view of the market to clients, at conferences and in time, via engagement with media outlets, through report writing, interviews and presentations
    • Work with Preqin's data science team to inform models that help us forecast the growth of our industry
    • Peer review the work of internal team members, ensuring rigorous analytical and written content of the highest quality
      What you'll bring to us:
      • Post-graduate degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or similar field
      • Finance research experience with industry engagement through publications and presentations, ideally focusing on alternatives and private capital investment models
      • Proficiency in analysis using R, Python, Matlab, or advanced Excel skills
      • Experience speaking at industry events and conferences, adept at engaging with clients
      • Demonstrated effective written and verbal presentation skills (later stage assessment will involve a written research exercise)
      • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally, up to 20% of the time
      • Specialized expertise in one of the following private asset classes: Private equity, venture capital, private debt, hedge funds, real estate, or infrastructure.
