Description

Role:

Mechanical Craftsperson.

Springfields Fuels in Preston are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Craftsperson to work within the Uranium Recovery Business Unit. Working within a diverse team, delivering planned and corrective maintenance; supporting safe operation of varied plant and equipment.

The applicant should have experience working within a maintenance department and have completed an accredited mechanical discipline apprenticeship.


Typical duties will include planned and corrective maintenance on automated equipment, rotating equipment, HVAC systems, pumps and drives, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, pipework and vessels.


Essential Attributes:
Experience working within a maintenance function.

NVQ Level 3 in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.

Ability to work and integrate within a team.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including P&ID / ELD, isometric and assembly drawings.

Ability to follow safe systems of work and read / interpret engineering instructions.

Ability to obtain SC security clearance.

Self-motivated.


Desirable Attributes:
Experience in mechanical installation including pipework systems.

DSEAR / Explosive atmosphere experience / qualification.

Chemical / Nuclear facility experience.

SC Clearance.

Aptitude for problem solving and continuous improvement.
