    Description
    GPW Recruitment are searching for an experienced Project Engineer Lead who will oversee a project on a contract for 6 months at one of our clients within the food manufacturing industry. The role will be based in Wolverhampton.
    £50 per hour (Outside of IR35)
    Monday to Thursday (4 day working week)32 hours per week (8-12 hours daily, depending on work requirements)
    The Project Engineer Lead will lead and provide technical expertise engineer and design safe, regulatory compliant and competitive build projects that are operationally efficient and reliable. In this role, you will provide conceptual engineering support over the lifetime of a project incorporating external and internal design standards to ensure completion.
    Other duties as assigned:
    • Identify, document and communicate lessons learned in this field to the appropriate functions.
    • Direct the activities for other engineers that are supporting the development of the engineering design on the project.
    • Lead and provide direction the development of the engineering estimates and track engineering progress against estimates.
    • Develop the engineering scope of work to support project objectives, selecting, managing and directing the external engineering service providers.
    • Provide technical oversight to the development of engineering design packages and design in compliance with regulatory codes that meet engineering standards and manufacturing technology specific needs.
    • Lead and provide direction to the engineering strategy in coordination with project leaders. Partner with regional and global leadership to identify enhancements to engineering work processes.
    • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems.
    • You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
    • Six years of related work experience.
    • Knowledge of environmental health and safety standards and international standards and codes related to build projects and construction safety
    • Experience managing third party resources to deliver business results
