    Machine Operative


    Location:
    Wrexham

    Pay rate:
    £11.95 trainee / £12.95 when trained.
    Hours: 4on 4off, 2 days 2 nights

    Contract:
    Temporary with potential to perm

    Our client in Wrexham is offering an exciting opportunity as a Machine Operative.

    We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for operating machinery efficiently across various sections of the factory, ensuring high-quality product output and adherence to production schedules.


    This role aims to maximise resource utilisation, minimise costs, and support our client commitment to delivering exceptional service and product quality to customers.

    Key Responsibilities of the role:

    Operate machinery, including extruders, granulators, and pallet wrapping machines, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    Conduct quality checks and complete relevant documentation to ensure products meet specifications.
    Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to minimise downtime.
    Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
    Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
    Provide flexible support across the factory, including covering for breaks, absences, and in other areas as needed

    Key requirements for applicants:

    Machine Output:
    Volume of products manufactured within specified timeframes.

    Quality:
    Compliance with product quality standards and reduction in the number of defects or rejections.

    Machine Utilisation:
    Effective use of machinery, including minimisation of downtime and maximisation of operational efficiency

    Qualifications and Experience:
    Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
    Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality control, and machinery operation.
    Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality.
    Excellent manual dexterity and commitment to following safety and operational procedures.

    Personal Attributes:

    Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently.
    Strong teamwork skills, with a willingness to support across different factory areas.
    Flexibility to work various shifts and perform different tasks as required

    Training and Development:
    Client will provide necessary training on machinery operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
