- Experience as a Programme Manager or Head of Projects/Change/Transformation role.
- Extensive industry experience in buy-side firms, either asset management or asset owners with direct investment activities.
- Strong awareness of Equity and Fixed Income asset types in relation to trade lifecycle, investment processes, data management and typical 3rd party service providers required.
- Experience of developing or enhancing change standards in relation to both IT and Business change.
- Awareness of technical delivery processes: Agile, SDLC.
- Experience with one or more specific service providers / platforms: Charles River, SimCorp Dimension, Blackrock Aladdin.

Description
Head of Change / Head of Projects – Investment Management / Asset Management.
Our client is an Investment Management company based in central London and a long-term global investor in fixed income, equities and alternative investments. The Head of Change / Projects role has been created in recognition of their ambition to deliver challenging transformational change in the coming years, impacting both technology architecture and the business operating model.
The successful candidate will be developing a new function, to sit alongside the Heads of IT and Operations and working in partnership with these teams, to lead strategic cross-business/operating model initiatives and ensure consistent application of delivery methodology standards across major projects in the wider department. You will have significant input into department strategy, planning and budgeting to ensure the project portfolio is aligned to the wider business priorities and that budget and resource needs are identified. This will include defining and overseeing a 1-3 year roadmap and budget plan in order to proactively identify dependencies and risks and ensure governance requirements are met in a timely manner.
The role will work collaboratively with IT and Operations functions to support them in delivery of their change roadmaps, ensuring clear direction and effective use of resources, and management of risks and dependencies in line with the wider portfolio. Projects undertaken will involve a combination of business and technology change, as the organisation is seeking to identify a future operating model underpinned by effective use of technology for control and efficiency. It is essential that project delivery is not technology-led, but technology-enabled, focusing first and foremost on the business outcomes and benefits.
You will manage a small team and given the size and variation in scale of change, it is anticipated that you will need to be flexible and balance a combination of direct project delivery and oversight of the wider team and key partners which may vary over time.
