We are a national manufacturing company with an exciting opportunity for an
Office Junior / Planner to join our team


Office Junior / Planner - The role:

As a Production Planner/Office junior you will utilise available planning systems to convert sales forecasts into achievable production and material plans and schedules that optimally balance customer service, Office admin and operational cost efficiency.


You will manage risks within the plan and amend orders where possible/practical to achieve customer service and stock targets as well as share forecasts with suppliers and work with them to resolve issues with materials availability.

The Office Junior plays a vital role in supporting the HR, sales, planning, technical and accounts team. Providing an important link between all departments and able to fill in to cover sickness and absences.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for office and HR admin;
  • Customer Ledger
  • Order processing on Sage also using Edi system;
  • Managing some paperwork relating to distribution;
  • Implementation of Pallet sheets, Fax & Summary sheets for carriers, customer templates, and price lists;
  • Handling telephone enquiries;
  • Data inputting
  • Answering telephone, taking messages and forwarding them to the relevant person;
  • Processing Door Sales
  • Dealing with Customer complains
  • Ensuring current systems of work / practice are adhered to reporting any changes to the relevant persons;
  • Assist other departments when needed
  • Ensure the business order fill KPI's are meet on a consistent basis
  • Ensure waste KPI's are meet on a consistent basis
  • Create and monitor a production weekly/ daily manufacturing plan / schedules to meet the sales volume demands.
  • Effectively communicate with suppliers and order raw material and packaging stock to replenish accordingly to manufacturing demands
  • Manage and minimise waste of all stock
  • Control stock by carrying out daily audits
  • Analysis the stock in both storage warehouse and move according to meet customer order fill requirements
  • Ensure Customer Service levels for order fulfilment are met and maintained by liaison with internal and external transport and distribution departments;
  • Create a daily planning summary report and circulate to the management team
  • Actively participate during external audits
  • Maintain and develop effective working relationships with supervisors, team members and people outside your responsible area.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the business which may not be part of your daytoday role.

What we need from you:


  • Working in a fastpaced environment
  • Worked with multiple range of SKUs with short shelf life
  • Knowledge of supply chain within the food industry
  • Experience creating daily / weekly production plans / schedules
  • Strong administration skills
  • Experience maintaining good relationships with suppliers
  • Proven track record of organisational, planning and forecasting experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a planning role in a FMCG environment or relevant degree
  • Experience of controlling and updating KPIs
  • Ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders effectively
  • Must have knowledge Sage
  • Experience ordering materials and of managing inventory
  • The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines;
  • The ability to work in a logical, methodical manner.
