The role is field based located in the North of England, with support from our Inverarity Morton Head Office in Glasgow.

Inverarity Morton is one of the UK's leading independent drinks merchants, with a turnover in excess of £65m and over 75+ years of experience in the licensed trade. We supply specialist retailers, wholesalers, and premium on-trade venues the length and breadth of the country, and have built a reputation at the forefront of our industry.

Our experience means we are quick to adapt to the changing needs and demands of the marketplace. We deliver beyond expectations. Following a strong business performance over the past 3 years, this new Key Account Manager position we are recruiting for is designed to help us take our business to the next level, as we 'deliver' our ambitious plans for growth as a wine and spirit led business in England & Wales.

Reporting to the IM Regional Sales Manager, this is a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about Wines & Spirits, is a highly capable sales manager, and has the knowledge and credibility to communicate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and customers.

You will be a key ambassador for our business promoting our exceptional drinks portfolio to new and existing customers by engaging them with your passion, expertise and credibility.

    • Experience in a sales role with knowledge of wine and spirits is essential. WSET qualifications are desirable.
    • Travel and nights away are part of the job, as is working from home, so you will require accomplished time management and planning skills.

As a key player in the IM sales team, your role will be to deliver the following:

    • Manage and develop a customer base of retailers & wholesalers covering the North of England & Wales.
    • Achieve volume and margin targets with both new and existing accounts.
    • Work in close partnership with the IM Finance, Logistics and Commercial teams.
    • Cover the full range of our product portfolio - aiming to be wine and spirit led in your approach.

For the right candidate the following package is on offer:

    • A highly competitive salary based on having the right skills, experience and cultural fit.
    • Excellent bonus potential.
    • Fantastic benefits including generous annual leave, pension, staff account, and a company car or car allowance.
    • The opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading independent wine and spirits wholesalers.

To apply for the Key Account Manager (North of England) role, please send your CV and a covering letter - outlining why you would be a good fit for the job.
