£53,346 to £66,569 depending on experience + an annual bonus.

To deliver SL's legal obligations in achieving the mission of delivering a clean and safe environment for future generations, through the development and management of nuclear safety cases.


The assessment and advice should be delivered in a fit for purpose, proportionate manner which achieves company safety standards and quality arrangements, and you will proactively seek and implement improvements and share learning within the project teams for which they are responsible and within the wider capability.


To thrive is this role you will need:

  • BSc in psychology/ergonomics/Human factors.
  • Previous experience as a HF Assessor / Specialist in appropriate high hazard industry setting managing delivery of significant HF deliverables.
  • Comprehensive experience and understanding of Safety Case, Projects, Design Engineering and Commissioning processes and methods.
  • Experience and understanding of UK regulatory environment and relevant legislation
  • HASAWA, Management of H&S at Work Regulations, Nuclear Installations Act, IRR.
  • Significant experience of dealing with internal and external stakeholders and regulators.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively.
  • Ability to effectively deploy resources in a team and manage the timely procurement and deployment of supply chain resource.
