    About the Business

    Main Duties:
    As a Accounts Assistant, your main duties include:

    • Review and process supplier invoices (including intercompany), ensuring accurate recording and coding of transactional data and adherence to authorisation guidelines.
    • Conduct reconciliation of supplier statements and review aged creditors report.
    • Contact suppliers via email to request statements of account, ensuring all costs are accounted for.
    • Manage supplier payment requests submitted to headquarters, verifying budget allocations for expenditure.
    • Timely allocation of settlement payments for court cases and investigation of queries.
    • Handle payment and invoice queries from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Compile and obtain approval for supplier payment runs, and prepare and submit supplier remittances as needed.
    • Assist in the monthly closure of the purchase ledger.
    • Perform monthly purchase ledger reconciliation for inclusion in the balance sheet.
    • Match supplier delivery notes with invoices.
    • File and archive purchase orders and invoices.
    • Monitor, record, analyse, and report on purchase ledger activities, trends, and recommendations.
    • Ensure timely posting of company credit card statements and expenses to the ledger upon receipt.
    • Assist with annual audits.

    The role is hybrid with three days in the office and 2 days from home, the office is extremely cool, modern and stylish in the heart of Birmingham City Centre.
    Although the finance team is small, the business has a supportive manager that is very friendly. The company is expansive, have a modern working environment and offer massive potential for growth.
    What We Are Looking For
    The ideal candidate will have:
    • Previous accounts payable experience
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Skilled user of Microsoft packages, encompassing Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills
