    In this role, you will design and develop FPGAs and embedded software for the core product range.

    You will work as part of an international R&D team with a proven track record of developing World leading products.

    We create high performance precision machines able to print and label at high speed onto moving targets.

    Helping to design mechatronic systems, you may find yourself working with motion control, signal processing, image recognition, communication technologies and cryptography.

    Your responsibilities at Videojet include:
    Creating and maintaining FGPA logic modules
    Writing real-time embedded C
    Gain and maintain familiarity with the portfolio of existing and forthcoming products.
    Produce high-quality documentation where required in support of those software products.
    Both working independently and collaborating closely with other design engineers.
    Attention to detail and accountability to consistently deliver according to agreed project plans.

    Your experience/skills will ideally include:
    Experience programming and debugging 32-bit real-time embedded systems using C
    Developing embedded software using Visual Studio and Eclipse
    FPGA design and development (Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus)
    Experience writing RTL using VHDL
    Expertise with static timing analysis, floor planning and I/O mapping
    Able to write and understand TCL and Python scripts
    Experience using source control systems such as TFS
    Ability to understand schematic diagrams of electronic circuits

    In addition, since we create mechatronic systems, any experience with industrial sensors and actuators – especially stepper motors – would be a real bonus.
