About the Role
Responsible for calibration and integration activities on both hybrid and pure electric vehicle projects.
Testing, validation, debugging and troubleshooting of software and calibration deliveries. Applying best
practise for issues analysis and resolution.
Research and benchmarking of special or innovative driving features.
Able to work with high level of autonomy on different subjects within a small team.
Support vehicle testing, assessment, and calibration in different environment test conditions.
Support software control system integration and alignment with system requirements.
Data analysis to identify improvements and generate technical report and/or engineering change requests.
Support research and production programmes features and attributes target definition.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or an equivalent education.
Ideally 5 years of post-graduate work experience in the field of Powertrain or Vehicle with OEM or Tier1
supplier.
Hands-on calibration experience in areas of the powertrain control, chassis, at vehicle or rig level testing.
Knowledge of calibration processes, sign off and release processes and best practise methodologies.
Understanding vehicle system software control strategies. Experience in developing vehicle and powertrain
control logic would be preferred. Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink an advantage.
Knowledge of requirements engineering and change management processes.
Expert working knowledge of automotive calibration tools (ETAS INCA/MDA & Vector products preferred).
Expert working knowledge of MS tools.
Understanding in vehicle targets cascading to control and calibration.
Good level of competence in planning, executing, and reporting testing activities, data analysis findings.
Able to work under pressure with timing respect.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to overcome cultural barriers.
Good driving record and experience in vehicle driveability assessment.
A degree of flexibility and a willingness to travel abroad for short periods of time.
Duties & Responsibilities
Delivering calibrations in all areas of the software
Support other team/department with powertrain and vehicle integration.
Work closely with control and software engineers to optimise overall system performance.
Support vehicle and powertrain calibration activities, including chassis dyno tests.
Research and benchmarking of special or innovative driving features.
Documenting and reporting integration activities, including technical presentation to peers and
management.
Develop requirements and test cases for powertrain control logic.
Supporting calibration and validation test trips in Europe and China.
