We are looking for a Commercial Coordinator to be based in the Egham (TW20 9AZ) office to provide direct support to the International Freight Forwarding business in all aspects of commercial activities to ensure business objectives are met.


The position will offer a salary range of £23-30K (depending on experience) and an opportunity to work remotely up to 4 days per week.


Key responsibilities:

  • Tender Management
a. Own cradle to grave RFQ co-ordination process

b. Receive RFQs & check all required info has been supplied

c. Assess best route for RFQ to be processed through (local/RHQ) & distribute accordingly

d. Initiate local pricing activity if required

e. Monitor progress of RFQs

f. Co-ordinate bi-annual RFQ pipeline submissions for the RHQ BD process in cooperation with Sales

g. Support a Commercial Analyst as and when required


  • Marketing Activities
a. Develop, maintain & distribute UK IFF product sheets.

b. Highlight any IFF activities that may be relevant to group marketing for external promotion.

c. Support Commercial Analyst as and when required


  • Local Procurement
a. Develop & maintain local carrier contacts for day to day pricing

b. Engage with carriers at a strategic level for long term/RFQ pricing when required

c. Join & contribute to carrier meetings whenever possible

d. Review carrier fixed costs & maintain surcharge matrices

e. Respond with bespoke pricing as and when required for non-FHD RFQ and spot rate opportunities (delegating to ops if necessary)


  • Network Activity
a. Liaise with YL in other regions whenever possible in order to strengthen the network and develop potential opportunities

b. Support Commercial Analyst as and when required


  • Sales Support
a. Respond with bespoke pricing for all new business enquiries

b. Obtain and log feedback for all AFF quotations completed by the Commercial Team

c. Support external sales team with carrier service info as and when required

d. Generate & distribute sales tools as and when required such as promotional product sheets

e. Produce the weekly sales statistics report

f. Support the administration of the Commercial Activity Report (Pipeline)

Key requirements

  • Experience in Air Freight Forwarding. Ocean Freight Forwarding highly desirable.
  • Highly organised with ability to work under pressure and to deadline
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management and Customer Service Skills
  • Flexible approach and ability to prioritise
  • Commercial mindset and great attention to detail
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Proactive approach and being able to respond to new challenges
