    The starting salary for this role is £44,614 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

    We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic Mole Valley Locality team. The team is based in Mole Valley District Council, Dorking.

  • About the Team

    Our team at Mole Valley comprises a group of skilled occupational therapists with a wide range of knowledge and we are proactive in supporting all our staff to develop and progress. Mole Valley is a large locality in the middle of Surrey with a mixture of small towns and rural villages.

    About the Role

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced qualified and registered Occupational Therapist. This diverse role requires professional experience of assessing for major adaptations, specialised equipment and completing moving and handling risk assessments, with the aim of supporting and empowering our clients to live meaningful lives within the community, the very essence of occupational therapy.

    We offer regular supervision to all our staff every month, plus informal support from all the occupational therapists on the team. We welcome occupational therapy students, including those on the Surrey County Council apprenticeship scheme. The value of occupational therapists is well recognised within our team, which enables us to fully utilise our skills and strengths to achieve a critical service within the team. We focus on what is important to the individual.

    Shortlisting Criteria

    To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with HCPC.
  • Working knowledge of Care Act legislation.
  • Commitment to your own professional development.
  • Experience of assessing for major adaptations, specialised equipment and completing moving and handling risk assessments
  • Substantial post-qualification professional experience would also be required and experience of providing professional supervision (support and training to further these skills will be provided).
  • You will need the willingness and ability to travel around the county to meet the demands of this role.
