    Description

    Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit a Lead Project Manager to join a well established Engineering business based near Glasgow.

    The successful candidate will be required to lead an established Projects team to deliver on a number of high level Nuclear projects therefore a strong leadership and technical background is a must for this position.

    The Ideal candidate will have a demonstrable background in a Lead/ Senior Projects capacity with strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment ( Pumps/ Valves/ Motors) also with experience dealing with Nuclear projects

    Candidate may also be required to travel to supplier sites international so a willingness to travel is a must.

    Hours – 0800 – 1630 – options to flexible working available after initial probation period.

    Skills & Knowledge:

    ·Overall responsibility for Nuclear projects

    ·Responsible for the overall execution of the projects, including all elements of execution: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, following Business Standards and Procedures

    ·Lead Nuclear projects risk profile, and identify and incorporate lessons learned

    ·Review and approve monthly progress reports and schedule updates, ensuring changes in scope, durations or start/finish dates are fully explained and mitigated

    ·Write proposals for variations and negotiate to a successful conclusion with the client

    ·Ensuring project milestones and goals are met

    ·Organising and attending both internal and external meetings as required (national and international travel is required)

    ·Coach and mentor all members of the project team and identifying suitable further training to develop them

    ·Actively seeking business development opportunities in the Nuclear sector

    ·Actively improve processes and procedures within the Project and suggest adaptations for broader business use.

    ·Overall liaison and co-ordination with the workshop and test teams to ensure timely actions in hand for project execution

    ·Providing comprehensive and timely updates to the Managing Director on the projects progression

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Strong background in a Lead or Senior Project Management role
    • Demonstrable technical background with knowledge of rotating equipment ( Pumps/ Valves/ Motors)
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Qualified to a minimum HNC Level within a relevant engineering discipline
    • Strong Commercial knowledge
    • Prince 2 or similar qualification preferential.
    • Valid Passport and willingness to travel as required.
