The Highway Operations team has an opportunity for a Highways Operative apprentice.

Works can be emergency, responsive repairs, programmed maintenance, works to capital funded schemes and other associated work which may arise in the provision of the Highway Operations service.

To assist with highways maintenance and construction work, including assistance with laying kerbs and flagstones, paving, tarmacadam patching, concreting and drainage.

To ensure that all works are carried out with a focus on performance, safety and quality.

Candidates must have gained or be predicated to achieve 4 GCSE's or equivalent, including maths and English at grade 4 or above (A*-C).
