Being based 100% from home (although you are welcome tocheck into a local office, if desired) with periodic meetings in thedivision's head office, you will need to be located in or around theHampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire or surrounding counties area, where youwill inherit a substantial portfolio of accountsYour clients will includesome of the most prestigious private and independent schools in the region,whose alumni include well-known names from the worlds of business, sport,politics and royalty The majority of your client visits undertaken will beface-to-face visits, although use of online meetings can also take place,depending on client preference.
This division has a specialist team ofBusiness Development Executives, so your role's focus will be on themanagement of existing accounts – although part of your role is towork alongside these colleagues to develop new business and exploreopportunities to cross and up-sell ancillary services (such as RiskManagement).
You will develop a detailed understanding of your clients'operations and their exposures to risk; as you can imagine (with onsiteboarding facilities, outdoor pursuits & boating centres, gyms, pools,state of the art science & tech labs etc), many of these will representfar more complex risks than those of many state schools.
With theassistance of colleagues, you will work with Underwriters from a selectpanel of insurers to design a robust insurance programme thatcomprehensively mitigates risks at a competitive premium.
It is essentialthat you have previously worked in an Account Executive position, and havean understanding of a variety of commercial covers including Property andLiability / Commercial Combined insurance.
Dealing with sophisticatedinsurance buyers, such as the schools' Bursars, you must be a confident,articulate and polished communicator, who can secure buy-in from peoplefrom all walks of life.
You must also be well-organised with excellenttask-management skills, and be able to work on a variety of projects atonce.In return, you will receive a generous basic salary (entirelynegotiable) plus company car, bonus and a market-leading flexible benefitspackage that includes a 12% pension contribution.
