Description
The role of the SHEQ & Training Coordinator is primarily focused on supporting the SHEQ function within Keystone Lintels.

This role will be responsible for training compliance across the Keystone Lintels Swadlincote site, with the occasional need to support our Cookstown operations in this regard.

Keystone Lintels is undertaking an activity of standardisation across it's Cookstown and Swadlincote sites, and the successful applicant will be required to work with their counterparts within the Cookstown organisation to deliver on key projects throughout a given period.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Promote health & safety in the workplace, constantly displaying excellent standards of personal safety, monitoring and challenging others when unsafe behaviours are observed.
  • Delivering H&S elements of new starter inductions.
  • Assisting with the investigation and adequate subsequent closure of accidents, incidents and near misses/DWB (don't walk by).
  • Development of risk assessments (creation and review) and subsequent training out to employees.
  • Development of standard operating procedures (creation and review) and subsequent training out to employees.
  • Daily SHEQ audits utilising iAuditor with scope to transition to EcoOnline for auditing activity
  • Maintain a visible presence on the factory for advice and guidance as required.
  • Complete and document periodic inspections such as, first aid contents checks, defibrillator checks, fire extinguisher checks, fire alarm checks etc.
  • Assist closure of actions raised in relation to H&S activity such as but not limited to, H&S audits, statutory inspections and internal audits.
  • Maintain statutory inspection register ensuring inspections are scheduled and completed as required.
  • Raising and chasing completion of nonconformity reports
  • Completing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for Head of SHEQ
  • Attendance at H&S group meetings
  • Assign employee content for SafetyHub
  • Assist with internal audit schedule for quality & HSE
  • Regular delivery of Tool Box Talks

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a SHEQ role; successfully influencing, engaging and coordinating a range of stakeholders towards a common safety goal
  • A demonstrable track record of improving health and safety management and outcomes within a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience delivering robust quality control and quality improvement projects in a ideally in a MTO fabrication environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 & 1400
  • Understanding and experience developing competency management systems
  • Ability to produce high quality risk assessment and standard operating procedural documentation
  • Basic understanding of EN 1090 welding standard
