    Job summary

    The Nurse Associate role is to provide direct care to a range of patients within our practice. You will be guided, trained andmanaged by the Senior Clinical Lead to ensure safe & best practice at all times.

    This role offers the successful candidate opportunities to develop in specific skill areas, which may expandyour current knowledge base, or alternatively to strengthen yourcurrent clinical skills in a new and exciting environment.

    You will work as part of a team of professionals,including fellow Nurse Associates, to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients andin recognising your professional aspirations.

    Main duties of the job

    Toprovide holistic and person-centred care and support for people of all ages andin a variety of settings.

    To workindependently under the leadership of registered nurses, working to theirnationally recognised code of conduct and Standards of Proficiency for NursingAssociates.

    To workas part of the multidisciplinary team.

    Tocommunicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion, and to manage relationshipswith people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary.

    Provide and Monitor Care

    Provide compassionate, safe andeffective care and support to people in a range of care settings

    Ensurethe privacy, dignity and safety of individuals is maintained at all time

    Monitorthe condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basisin partnership with the members of the MDT team families, and carers

    Tocomplete nursing risk assessments using recognise risk assessment tools

    Contributeto the planning of care delivery in association with the Registered Nurse

    Contributeto ongoing assessment recognising when it is necessary to refer to others forreassessment and action

    Administerinjections using subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular routes

    Providechronic disease advice as required in assisting patients in managing theirconditions

    Demonstratethe ability to recognise changing priorities seeking advice and guidance fromthe Registered Nurse or other registered care professionals as appropriate

    Communicateeffectively with colleagues, providing clear verbal, digital or writteninformation and instructions when sharing information, delegating or handingover responsibility for care

    Recogniseand report any situations, behaviours or errors that could result in poor careoutcomes

    Identifyrisks to safety or experience and take appropriate action, putting the bestinterests, needs and preferences of people first

    Assistin the implementation of appropriate action to meet the specific physical,emotional and psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs ofindividuals and carers

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Nursing Associate Foundation Degree and registered on the NMC register
  • Experience

  • Experience of working in a healthcare environment
  • Evidence of continuous Professional Development
  • Ability to communicate with a range of different people, including service users, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team

  • Experience of working in an outpatient environment
