Contracted Hours: 7 on 3 off, 7 on 4 off (56 hours average)

Role:


As a Team Leader you will assist with the supervision of all aspects of the client's/tenant's security requirements and support the Security Manager in the day-to-day running of the security function.


Responsibilities:


  • Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors
  • Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges
  • Ensure all contact, be it internal or external; by telephone, face to face or any other medium; is clear, courteous, polite, professional and respectful
  • Where applicable: appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion
  • Be familiar with all Security Operational and Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice. There may also be a need to become a fire marshal and first aider if applicable all training will be provided
  • Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard
  • To act with integrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant and ethical manner
  • To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach at all times
  • Assist in the induction, development or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate
  • Act in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and our Code of Conduct

Security Team Leader Duties

  • Ensure security records and logs up to date
  • Allocation of site duties to Security Officers (Rotation, Breaks Etc)
  • Admin duties to include key audits, fire alarm tests, equipment status logs and card audits
  • Assist in the Management of the Security contract at the Client's premises
  • Control, monitor and instruct the Security Officers alongside the Security Manager in procedures, including but not restricted to Assignment Instructions; SOP's; Health & Safety and any Client/tenant instructions
  • Ensure Assignment Instructions are adhered to at all times by security personnel
  • Ensure all staff are trained to the client's and the company's standards
  • Develop teamwork within the workforce, ensuring high morale through effective motivational methods and ongoing training
  • Provide line management responsibility to Security Officers, including welfare issues under the guidance of the Security Manager and HR for example return to work interviews, notice of concerns in relation to poor performance/conduct etc
  • Review Security Officer performance and development and report to the Security Manager
  • Maintain a high standard of communication and good working relationship with all other Security personnel, Client, tenants and other service providers
  • To assist with Site Handover is done, sent out and completed in full with all checks done and messages included.

  • Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented
  • Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required
  • Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes where required
  • Demonstrate an awareness of security threats which remain relevant and up to date in the context of the current environment
  • Flexibility in regard to working practices, hours and responsibilities.
  • Either a current and valid SIA (DS as a minimum) license
  • Enhanced communication, listening and customer service skills or the ability to train, obtain, retain and develop further in this field.
  • Operation of CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner
