Manufacturing Process Engineerrequired to join a luxury automotive brand based in
Daventry on a permanent basis, offering a competitive market salary.

Our client is an automotive luxury brand, with a global reputation for bespoke restorations.

Working with some of the most iconic designs, using modern engineering, this company is one of a kind and their diligence is second to none.


Due to the continuous growth our client is looking for a
Manufacturing Process Engineer who will report to the Head of Production.

You will assist in developing the manufacturing processes that change the way we build our cars, as part ofthe introduction of new model launches that are part of our exciting business plan, and engineering change updates on our existing vehicle range.

There will also be opportunities to develop manufacturing processes for our Body & Paint side of the business.


As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will provide first hand support in the development and execution of all Manufacturing Engineering practices driving improvement in Project Management, Safety, Quality, Cost Management, and Product Delivery.


Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Process Engineer:

  • Development and execution of all Manufacturing Engineering practices driving improvement in Project Management, Safety, Quality, Cost Management, and Product Delivery.
  • Delivering operational practices in alignment with brand expectations.
  • Scoping, specifying, and delivering best operational practices in alignment with brand expectations; and Support the Program / Production Head with the implementation of departmental budgets as contributor to overall program business cases.
  • Work with internal teams and across the business as well as within your own functional area to deliver all program aspects from inception into production.
  • Support the generation of timing plans that support full program delivery activities.
  • Provide content support to the team that supports all prototype build phases on new vehicle programs, including supporting Virtual Build and Manpower Planning activities.
  • Other roles will include Design Reviews, PFMEA, DFMEA, Line Balancing, Assembly sequencing, Process Documentation, and Product Traceability methodology, Hours Per Car generation / reporting, Facility layout planning.

The ideal Manufacturing Process Engineer will have:

  • A degree in mechanical / automotive engineering or similar (2:1 or above) or equivalent experience in a similar role.

Experience in:
- planning and execution of new vehicle programs
- complex vehicle systems
- vehicle assembly processes
- trim and final processes
- end of line vehicle processing / finishing
- specification and procurement of assembly equipment
- identifying resolutions for product related issues, ensuring all quality targets are achieved
- implementation of safe working practices


Personal Specification

  • Naturally have an understanding and appreciation for niche vehicle production and brand requirements.
  • Ability to act under pressure with calmness, clarity of thought and decisive authority
  • The client works in a fastpaced environment so the ability to act under pressure with calmness, clarity of thought and decisive authority is crucial.
  • You may need to travel to offsite development facilities, within the UK and throughout Europe, therefore a flexible approach to travel is required.
