    JSS is currently recruiting a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join an expanding, specialist commercial and procurement consultancy firm.
    The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in procurement and demonstrate a strong track record of success. This role requires expertise managing and navigating complex procurement, particularly within the infrastructure industry. As a Senior Consultant, you will lead procurement activities, provide strategic direction, and ensure adherence to industry standards.


    The role:
    Support and manage the end-to-end procurement processes, from initial planning and sourcing to contract negotiation and supplier management.
    Support and lead with the senior staff the day to day business management activities.
    Identify and manage Procurement Regulation risk on procurements, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
    Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
    Conduct supplier evaluations, assess bids, and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and pricing.
    Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, monitoring performance and addressing issues as they arise.
    Analyse market trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend innovative procurement solutions.
    Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
    Provide procurement administrative support to the team, ensuring declared processes and procedures are followed.
    Stay updated with industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends in procurement to drive continuous improvement.
    Supporting Associate Directors and Directors with business development opportunitiesSupport the Directors with updating business processes and procedures.


    Your profile:
    Experience in procurement/commercial roles post university education.

    MCIPS or MRICS qualification (Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply/ Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent qualification.

    Experience in Regulated procurements (UCR/PCR/Procurement Act) within the construction sector.
    Good knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
    Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
    Analytical mindset with the capability to make data-driven decisions.
    Proficiency in procurement software/tools and MS Office suite.
    Previous involvement in major infrastructure projects.
    Familiarity with public sector procurement regulations and frameworks.
    Experience in implementing sustainable procurement practices.
    Knowledge of digital software packages such as eSourcing and MS Power Platform.
