Job Title: 0365 Product Owner


Salary:
The starting salary is £65,393 which includes allowances totalling £2,841.


The salary is broken down as £62,552 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £66,997 Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.


Location:
Bow.

This role will primarily be based at Bow but there will be a need to attend offsite meetings as required by the business.

Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT)

DDaT provides the Met with information and communications technology (ICT) and digital and data services to help frontline officers and staff do their jobs more efficiently, keeping up to speed with developments in technology and make recommendations for new equipment and systems that will help modernise policing.


Job Purpose
The post holder will govern and manage the secure adoption and usage of the Met's O365 capabilities. To ensure stable service, managing customers, stakeholders and suppliers in reactive and proactive support and changes.


Key Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for periodic review of the O365 Governance Model documentation.
  • Proposing, creating and updating policies, guidelines and best practices related to O365 usage and adoption.
  • Act as a single point of contact for all internal and external audits pertaining to O365 space.
  • Chair and lead O365 Policy Group meetings, record and publish policy decisions.
  • Own and maintain O365 policy documentation.
  • Support IT Security teams on topics related to O365 tenant (information protection, information sharing, data leak protection, retention, data labelling, data privacy, tenant policies and alerts, reporting)
  • To support Portfolio Management for introduction of features and tools, based on business demands, ensuring compliance with data privacy, security and best practice guidelines.
  • To keep IT and Business aligned with the MS roadmap evaluating the impact of upcoming features in terms of security and usability, agreeing in the dedicated governance bodies the enablement and the needs for change management
  • Design and check Architectural changes for new back end features ensuring the alignment and consistency with architectural and security guidelines (i.e. PowerPlatform, Azure Information Protection, Information Rights Management etc.)
  • Play a significant role in longterm strategy and planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence.
  • Partner with platform team, IT security, other cross functional teams, business and leadership in developing the productivity solutions to improve end user experience.
  • Support advanced functions of O365 including but not limited to the Security, Governance and Compliance centres (e.g. DLP, IRM, E-Discovery, In-Place Hold, Retention Tags and Encryption).
  • Reviewing the implementation, rollback plan and approving the change before presentation to CAB.
  • Service contracts, licence and vendor relationship management within SaaS product management area

How to Apply

Essential Criteria:


  • Evidence of Inclusive Behaviour.
  • Detailed knowledge of O365 technologies, particularly PowerPlatform and Office Online.
  • Understanding of Service Management.
  • Understanding of product governance and roadmaps.
  • Understanding of security management.
  • 5+ years of governing O365 adoption and usage in a commercial IT environment.
  • SharePoint on premises/online, MS Teams and OneDrive for business.
  • Exchange online, Intune, Azure, Active Directory and PowerPlatform.
  • Information Security and Data Protection.
  • Financials, business cases and IT contracts.
  • Driving business demands, mapping them on the available tools or towards announced roadmaps.
  • Experience of Performance Management and KPI delivery.
  • Experience of delivering in a multi supplier projects and programmes contract.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working within a public sector environment and public sector governance.
