We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who can produce results in a challenging environment.

As the Alcohol and Substance Misuse Team Administrator it will be your responsibility to provide administrative support for the team.


This role requires an ability to manage time and resources effectively to ensure that the service provides highly effective support for patients who are admitted to either University Lewisham Hospital (UHL) and Greenwich (QEH) hospitals.

With a turnover of around £700 million, we provide services at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich, University Hospital Lewisham and a range of community settings in Lewisham.

  • To provide administrative support to the team ensuring that there are effective systems and procedures in operation.
  • To ensure that high standards of data quality are maintained and submitted monthly.
  • Suggest and make recommendations for improvement to existing administration procedures.
  • To provide administrative support for meetings as requested and to ensure follow up action is completed. This can include producing notes of meetings, setting up meetings, preparing agendas, ensuring that a bringforward system of paperwork is maintained to ensure correspondence/information is available for meetings.
  • Produce/draft documents as required, including reports, narratives, template documents, spreadsheets and presentations using MS Office, ensuring work is of a high quality
  • Collect, collate, analyse and evaluate data and information relating to projects and/or programmes.
  • To maintain accurate databases and electronic filing records, liaising with different parts of the Trust as necessary.
  • Assist with collation of internal, regional, or national returns or data submissions where required, this may involve the coordination of returns internally.
  • Assist in the purchase of goods and services using the Trust's eProcurement system.
  • To develop and maintain good and effective working relationships with a wide range of people both within the Trust and externally to ensure that communication and liaison between the departments are effective and information is given and received in a timely manner.
