We offer opportunities to work on a variety of projects including pile designs, retaining walls design, deep excavations, deep basements, propping, earthworks, slope stabilisation, rock mechanics, site investigations, marine structures and other assets.
As part of the project team you will contribute to overall project delivery and will find this position highly rewarding.
We are looking for an Engineering Geologist to support the existing team in our Guildford office. This role will involve a combination of office work and site visits.Minimum 2.1 degree or Masters in Applied or Engineering Geology with experience in the field of engineering geology and geotechnics (minimum of five years' experience, but all applications will be considered)
Has proven technical knowledge of specific subject areas pertaining to geotechnical works and proven ability to use relevant softwareExperience and understanding of rock mapping, stereonets, kinematic assessment and risk assessmentExperience and understanding of slope stability assessmentExperienced & confident with report writing and presentation skillsCan effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships and always aiming to exceeding client expectationsDegree qualified in relevant field and achieved/working towards chartered statusAdheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety RegulationsRepresent and promote Ayesa in a professional manner and develop effective working relationships with clients and potential clientsCommitted to Continued Professional DevelopmentFull Clean Driving LicenceKey Accountabilities:
Working as member of a project team to deliver quality services to clientsEnsures all geotechnical designs are in accordance with set standards and all recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionableEnsures that designs are delivered on time to our clients and that the design fulfils the client's briefInspects construction work and ensures that all aspects of design are correctly implementedMonitors processes and results and ensure that they comply with relevant safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirementsAbility to make appropriate judgments and decisions and exercise initiativeAssisting at the tender stage of projectsAbility to analyse and interpret dataDemonstrates problem solving attributes, attention to detail and time managementWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
