We have a very unique and exciting Savings Business Development Officer position, a new role to the business that you can shape and make your own.

Our client is a medium sized savings provider based in the Midlands and this role will be responsible for drivingforward the workplace savings framework, wider new business acquisition and identifying opportunities within new markets, partnerships, products, and services.

It is a predominantly field based sales / business development role for the savings side of thebusiness.


In addition, the role will support the delivery of the branch networks community impact strategy, acting as a brand ambassador for the business, engaging with the local community, building brand awareness across the region, and driving footfall back to thebranch network/digital platform.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Building strong relationships with local businesses and community partners
  • Responsible for pitching retail savings, and workplace savings across a wide range of external stakeholders.
  • Hold events at business and community forums as required.
  • Deliver impactful community initiatives and drive social value.
  • Work with key local partners to deliver community impacts through KPIs, during the lifecycle of project.
  • Attend conferences and events to continually build relationships and the brand.
  • Appointment booking, by cold calling and closing appointmentbased activity over telephone/face to face.
  • Work to KPIs (activity and performance).
  • Responsible for aligning external marketing communication by working collaboratively with marketing team.

Skills and experiences required:


  • Proven experience of creating, and converting new B2B opportunities
  • Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with existing and new customers / partnerships
  • Sales, sales through service or lead generation experience
  • Able to work alone, prioritising and managing own workload
  • Able to build strong internal/external relationships
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation)
  • Awareness, understanding and experience of using social media platforms
  • Full Driving License
  • Financial Services Experience and Knowledge of products and regulation would be advantageous but no essential


As Savings Business Development Officer you will identify and drive forward new business opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, products/services and community initiatives.

You will be instrumental in driving forward the workplace savings proposition.
