Description

Training & Development Assist with the induction of new staff, both administrative and clinical, with regard to departmental policies, procedures and IT Systems.

The post-holder will be required to attend training courses, including mandatory courses, which may be identified as part of his/her PDP.

Contribute positively to team meetings, bringing relevant issues to the meeting, assisting with the development of the service and assisting with projects identified by the team.

To attend regular 1-1 meetings with line manager.

Other duties that may reasonably be requested in this post.

Maintain your own professional development and update your evidence based practice, knowledge and skills Fulfil all mandatory training requirements for Sentinel Healthcare CIC.

Engaging People / Key Working Relationships Build collaborative networks and work effectively with colleagues in Devon Training Hub Work effectively with colleagues with HEE working across the south west Establish and develop links between HEE, HEIs, Training Hubs and GP practice placement/educational providers and other relevant stakeholders Use these relationships to:

highlight the need to build a wider multi-professional primary care workforce; facilitate learners meeting relevant learning outcomes; support the operational and strategic development of placements for P.

As, Nurses, Associate Nurses, Pharmacists and other AHPs Communicate and collaborate with relevant professional bodies to include, but not be limited to:

GMC, BMA, RCGP, RCN The post holder must be an effective organizer, influencer and networker Delivering Results / Functional Responsibilities Attend and contribute to Devon Training Hub meetings Attend and contribute to HEI meetings as required Attend regional and national meetings where appropriate Advise on and contribute to the approval and re-approval of supervisors of learners Advise on and execute educational quality management processes Advise on and execute educational governance processes Advise on and execute the Devon Training Hub strategy for developing the workforce Advise on and participate in research activities where appropriate Planning and delivery of educational events Preparation of reports as required Develop innovative primary care experiences for a range of pre-registration and post registration health professionals Contribute to the development of long term strategic plans to ensure sustainability of the transformational development of primary care learning networks.

Management & Leadership Leadership and management of learners as appropriate.

Exhibit innovative leadership and management where appropriate. Capable of managing own workload.

Use of influencing and motivational skills to encourage collaborative working between senior stakeholders to develop the multi-disciplinary Primary Care workforce.

Setting Direction & Service Improvement Work with local and national stakeholders to deliver Primary and Community Care educational initiatives which are congruent with nationally agreed plans.

Participate and contribute to local and national initiatives to improved patient care through quality education and training. Contribute to the development of a learning and development culture that maps to the long term plan.
