    The Client:

    Based out of their vibrant office, just a short walk from Victoria station, they create both in-person and online conferences. The Martine industry is what they are focused on, especially the technology involved with it. They are part of an even bigger media organization consisting of 5 companies in the group.

    The company has huge growth expectations over the next 3 years looking to expand its portfolio year on year. The Port Technology sector itself is also massively growing, as the maritime industry sits at the centre of the global economy as they are a vital part of the world's supply chain. The industry gains heavy investment from logistics firms to enable them to connect to the world through trade.

    As part of their portfolio, they look to create a leading journal every quarter as well as the world's number-one website for news, technical content, and sourcing suppliers. They research emerging trends that enable industry professionals to reflect these trends that enhances efficiency and productivity in ports and terminals worldwide through this leading journal.

    Skills Required:

    Previous experience in creating international B2B conferences, ideally within maritime or technology as technical knowledge within these sectors will aid you in creating relevant agendas.

    Being able to communicate effectively both written and verbally, is essential, as you will be both networking in person and over the phone with speakers and other important stakeholders. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will be especially important in your creative productions as well as communication.

    It goes without saying, but to do well in a role such as this will require you to have a positive can-do attitude and work ethic as you'll be taking on multiple projects at once, which also requires you to be organised and efficient.

    Responsibilities:

    As a Conference Producer, you'll be the brains behind the scenes making exciting and engaging content. You will have the creative freedom to bring your ideas to life and really put your passion into your work.

    • Research market trends by speaking to contacts as well as reviewing the market for challenges and solutions.
    • Design, develop and execute the conference program, this includes format and size of the events, agenda, features, and key partnerships.
    • Identify and liaise with speakers and stars in the industry.
    • Work closely with the marketing and events team by creating and delivering briefs.
    • Manage networking both over the phone and in person.
    • Assist the marketing team with web content, emails, socials, print, and video channels.
    • Analise competitors by comparing key features like content, format, and pricing.
    • Be able to travel when required.
