    Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting a leading global engineering service provider who are working in partnership with some of the world's most influential names in the Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Tech, Energy, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Rail and Semi-Conductor industries.


    We are seeking a Stress Engineer to join the team in support of Aerospace R & D projects on a long term contract basis with a hybrid working pattern.

    Ownership of stress analysis of assigned components.
    Collaborate with support functions as needed (stress analysis, life management, heat transfer, materials, design).
    Interface with global engineering organisations and other internal organisations (e.g. design) as required to support activity on assigned components.

    Generate and deliver technical/program presentations to internal and external customers as required (systems tech review, design review and internal analysis review).

    Write Design Study Summaries (Design Definition Record), Technical Memorandums, Coordination Memos, and Certification Reports as required to document design engineering activity on assigned components.

    The Stress Engineer will be able to work on a hybrid arrangement travelling to site in Somerset and must be an experienced stress analysis specialist within aerospace or airborne vehicle structures.

    Educated to Degree level in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
    Experienced and proven in the use of mechanical engineering software such as Ansys and NX
    Prior experience with life analysis (low cycle fatigue and fracture mechanics) is preferred and the engineer should have demonstrated program management skills
