    Description


    Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)A market leading designer and manufacturer of Materials Handling Products are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.

    As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key part in working on new and existing products from concept through to completion.

    All our projects are bespoke builds, adapting our core product for use with our clients equipment.


    You must demonstrate:


    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent Project Management skills (Planning & Organisation)Working knowledge of Finite Element AnalysisA creative approach for generating innovative ideas.

    Proficient with the latest version of Autodesk InventorAn excellent grasp of engineering and design principles Excellent communication skills A sound knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and methods.

    Good team working skills. Results orientated.

    A sound appreciation of business demandsWorking knowledge of Directives and StandardsAble to produce Project Technical FilesDemonstrate sound understanding of Risk Analysis within the design environment.


    Advantageous skills:
    Experience of Frame Generator within InventorStructural steelwork design Experience in material handling equipment design.

    Understanding of ATEX / Ex environmentExperience working with PDM for design control, preferably Autodesk VaultUnderstanding and ability to interpret British and International StandardsAwareness of The Machinery DirectiveBased at the company offices on Teesside, you will be engaged in the design and development of complex materials handling / loading equipment.

    The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be an ambitious individual who is looking to take the next step in their design career.

    The candidate must be degree level educated and have excellent IT skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.

    In-depth experience of 3D modelling CAD software is required, with a preference for Autodesk Inventor. Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis will also be a necessity. ADZN1_UKTJ
