Based:
Bolton


Salary:
circa £50k dependent on experience, bonus, benefits and flexible working hours

Hybrid - 2 days office, 3 days home

Our client is a PE backed, UK leading tech/services business looking for a Management Accountant to join the team.

The business has grown rapidly over the last few years with this role offering a fantastic opportunity for a strong Management Accountant tobuild on their commercial knowledge.

The role will report to the Group Financial Controller and look after a small team


Role:

  • Preparing management accounts with commentary
  • Managing P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and budgeting & forecasting
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders ensuring variances to forecasts and budgets are reported and explained
  • Supporting stakeholders with detailed revenue and profitability analysis, identifying risks and opportunities allowing for recommendations to the business
  • Identifying sustainable cost saving initiatives, profit improvements and revenue enhancements
  • Managing 2 staff members including development and training
  • Monthly accruals, prepayments, invoice reconciliations
  • Balance sheet and intercompany account reconciliations
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Working with group auditors at year end ensuring audit plan is delivered
  • Improving finance processes through automation and process improvement
  • Adhoc project work alongside the Group FC and CFO

Experience:


  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA finalist or qualified
  • Proven management accounts experience
  • Commercial exposure would be desirable
  • Experience managing a small team would be desirable but not essential
  • Strong Excel and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to challenge and improve processes & procedures
