We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, experienced Physiotherapist to join our friendly, forward-thinking team providing rehabilitation for a diverse range of people with stroke and neurological conditions within Stockport.
Based in the community, you will work within a comprehensive multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Nurses, Assistant Practitioner, Therapy Assistants and Admin.
You will be provide specialist knowledge to facilitate the early supported discharge of stroke patients from the stroke unit, and work with patients with acute and long term neurological conditions to provide rehabilitation in the home environment, and other community settings, improving their quality of life.

You will undertake comprehensive assessments and use your highly advanced clinical reasoning skills to develop and deliver rehabilitation programmes that support patients to achieve their goals.
You will provide specialist support and training to all members of the multidisciplinary team
Your role will be a division of clinical and managerial activities, providing expert knowledge in your professional field, and supporting the team within operational activities and service development.
As a member of the CNRS team you will have excellent assessment, communication and problem-solving skills and demonstrate an adaptable, flexible approach whilst meeting guidelines and standards.

Clinical Educators/Field Worker course or equivalent
Knowledge of a range of relevant conditions and their management
Expert Knowledge of the Stroke and Neurology conditions
Knowledge of relevant policies & legislation
Clinical experience as a Band 6 with specialist knowledge of Stroke and Neurological conditions
Experience of organising and implementing training programmes for staff
Previous Band 7 experience in relevant post
Experience of working in inpatient and community settings
Experience of student education within the workplace up to graduate level.
Supervision of senior and junior staff and students
Experience of research and/or project management/service development
Understanding of Clinical Governance and its implications for Services including experience of Quality issues and Audit
Ability to comprehend and work within the Trust's Policies
Ability to expertly use and apply a range of assessment and treatment techniques and approaches to the management of the condition of Stroke
Ability to analyse activity and outcome data accurately and objectively
Able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the service, including 7 day working
