    MATERNITY COVER - 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to join our expanding cardiology service within the Coronary Care Unit/Cardiology Ward management team.

    Main duties of the job

    What we look for:

    • With the support of the Matron you will analyse, monitor and implement actions that will ensure the service delivery is safe and effective in line with Trust values.
    • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, maintaining strong working relationships with other teams within Cardiology and beyond.
    • You will be responsible for the daily operational management and service delivery process within the department, along with the line management and development of the nursing team.
    • Ensuring quality indicators are achieved and managed within the department.
    • A high level of skill and expertise in all aspects of acute cardiology, able to provide support and guidance where required.
    • You will ensure the smoothing of the unit, working as a key decision maker along side the multi discipline team, leading on aspects of clinical care and focusing on patient safety experience and quality assurance frameworks.

    Person specification Experience

    • Experience of staff supervision and mentorship including, employee relations, performance, conduct and training needs analysis

    Skills

    • Advanced communication skills including; to communicate complex, sensitive or confidential information in an appropriate manner; to liaise and negotiate effectively; to understand and disseminate multifaceted information.
    • Clinical Skills appropriate to the relevant speciality.

    Qualifications

    • Registered with NMC
    • Level 5 Certificate/Diploma in Management and Leadership, or equivalent

    • Professionally presented and calm approach
    • Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment
