Hygea Homecare is looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team of health professionals. We provide care to our clients in their homes. We are committed to providing high-quality services focusing on delivering our clients the highest level of care. We seek an individual with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in providing care.

Position Summary

The Care Assistant's primary role is to provide clients with direct personal care and household assistance and offer physical, social, and emotional support.

This position requires a person with strong organisational and problem-solving skills who can work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Our care assistants assist service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
Helping service users overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes
Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks
Support with administrating medication.
Contribute as needed to a person's endoflife care.

Qualifications:

No Qualifications are necessary; training is provided.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Current Driver's License and access to a vehicle.

Job Benefits:

Pay Band 2 £20,670 £21,450 p/a (Prorata) based on 37.5 hours per week (Excluding enhanced pay, travel and mileage)

Enhanced pay

Enhanced rates for evenings and weekends, Bank holidays and Christmas.

Permanent Contracts

We offer permanent contracted employment along with company benefits, no zero hours.

Mileage payments

Mileage is paid at 40p per mile per working shift, excluding hometohome.

Travel payments

You are paid travel time between clients' visits and to and from home.

Locations we operate in:

You will be supporting clients in their own homes in the locations below; you will be allocated work as close to your home as possible, but mínimal travel will be required (A car is Essential)
Derbyshire - Long Eaton, Sandiacre, Sawley, Risley, Breaston, Draycott

Our shift patterns:

We aim to give an outstanding work-life balance, and as such, shift patterns are arranged based on your contract and availability; shifts can be mornings, afternoons, or evenings and must include weekend availability (One-on/One-off)
