Conference Portfolio Manager - B2B Events & Content
Central London office, Hybrid working 3 days office/2 days home
- Permanent, fulltime position_
Base salary up to £50K + Generous profit Share
- Start date: ASAP_
The Conference Portfolio Manager will be responsible for:
- Producing, developing and leading a portfolio that includes a flagship conference, digital events and associated content
- Launching new innovative products within the portfolio
- Researching and writing relevant and commercially viable content products
- Working as part of the growing conference & content team
The role
As the Conference Portfolio Manager, you will undertake targeted research, and write engaging conference agendas and relevant associated content.
Recruit speakers, project manage the event delivery, both physical and virtual, and take ownership of the end-to-endprocess of running events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new & viable conference ideas
- Identifying the correct audience and supporting the development of a marketing plan
- Market Mapping understanding opportunities for sponsorship, identifying target markets as well as unique selling points to drive sponsorship
- The ability to develop a good understanding of a given market
- Have an understanding competitor landscape
- Identifying key stakeholders and partners and relationship management
- The ability to write compelling content in a variety of formats
- Stakeholder management manage speaker faculties and scheduling
- Control the project P&L
- Oversee aspects of delivery and operations
The person:
- Experience in producing largescale venue based events and digital formats
- Experience writing content in the form of; articles, blogs, reports, social posts, interviews etc.
- Build an understanding of the activities of the company in the UK and internationally and keep up to date with broader developments in the sector
- Develop strategic awareness through monitoring of the competition and the broader business information marketplace
- Identify gaps in the market for the business to explore
- International events experience advantageous
