We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Ganger (T.F) to join our Area 10 account in Bolton.

Working with National Highways, Amey provides Maintenance and Response services for more than 300 miles of strategic road network in the Northwest, including some of the region's busiest motorways: the M6, M56 and M62.

Amey's Highways business also carries out grass cutting, sign cleaning and pothole repairs, as well as providing traffic management, incident response and winter maintenance services, including gritting and snow clearance.

The standard hours of work are 42 hours per week with rotating day and night shifts

Attending project briefings as required
Managing and mentoring apprentices and operatives and coordinate the work of others as necessary
Carrying out a wide range of general maintenance tasks e.g. drainage, kerbing, fencing, walling, sweeping, signing, patching, traffic management etc.
Driving/Operating vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills including vehicle checks, routine maintenance, (e.g. oil and water checks etc.) Keeping records, completing all necessary paperwork, communicating and liaising with other employees of Amey, sub-contractors, the emergency services, the police, the general public, clients and customers.
Reporting any Health and Safety, team or performance concerns to the Supervisor.

Driving Licence
HGV Class 2 Licence
Appropriate legislative and compliance HSEA training
Appropriate CSCS card or equivalent competency card
Personal Highway Safety Certificate
Experience as a Highways Operative
