About the role:
The role reports to the VPHR of Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail.

1 Direct report: HRBP


The Senior HRBP is responsible for Business Partnership to Pernod Ricard GTR HQ, and the EMEA & Pacific business unit, including the development, implementation and review of HR strategies to support achievement of business objectives in those areas.

The role holder is working in partnership to advise all levels of managers on HR matters.

This is a highly autonomous role requiring the Senior HRBP to operate with confidence and to proactively initiate actions.

Developing a strong understanding of the customer groups, environments, business priorities and requirements to deliver these is expected to ensure HR initiatives are relevant to the needs of the business.


Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • To be a lead contributor by working in partnership with the management population to understand business requirements and translate these into meaningful priorities and change plans
  • Work in collaboration with management to identify required structural changes. Develop approach and communication plan, working together with management to achieve change while maintaining employee engagement
  • Provide end to end HR support for all employees in scope
  • Project Manage or contribute to sizeable HR projects
  • Provide support and coaching to people managers and directors on leading their teams, and provide advice and guidance on all employmentrelated matters
  • Manage recruitment approach, criteria, talent attraction to secure high quality talent for the business
  • Manage performance review, goal setting, talent review and annual salary reviews for customer groups, ensuring the company policy is adhered to and budget requirements are met
  • Manage annual headcount and employee payroll cost in line with business objectives, providing input to structural changes and resource proposals, gaining authorization from VPHR and CEO as appropriate, and managing communication approach with managers
  • Manage all employee relations cases for scope

About You:

  • Educated to University degree equivalent, preferably in HR
  • Solid experience as HR business partner in a fastmoving, complex and international environment
  • High degree of autonomy and ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • High degree of collaboration with colleagues of the HR function
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to forge trusted relationships with employees and managers in the business
  • Ability to deal with personal and sensitive issues at all management levels
  • Experience of managing a HR cyclical activity eg salary reviews, performance reviews, etc
  • Proven senior stakeholder management expertise
  • Proven negotiation, consultation and facilitation skills
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Global mindset
  • Results oriented and business focused
  • Strong problem solving, planning and organizational abilities
  • Good knowledge of UK employment legislation
