- Generation of design, test and installation documentation
- Design proving, including environmental and Electro Magnetic Compatibility aspects
- Investigation and resolution of design issues
- Design and build of the electrical and hardware system to achieve successful acceptance (FAT(E)
- Support to development systems
- Successful installation and setting to work of hardware on ship
- Understanding of Configuration Control and baselines
- An Engineer with experience in a hardware domain
- Knowledge and experience of equipment development using Commercially available Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware components, preferably with an understanding of blade and PC technology.
- A can-do, enthusiastic attitude and enquiring mind with a flexible approach & openness to involvement in all aspects of the team's work
- Ability to operate in a large, complex multi-project environment
- Experience with COTS enclosures (e.g. units, cabinets), design, wiring schedules, power distribution etc. would be especially desirable.
- Experience working with the Defence sector
