Permanent Job - Labeller Operator - Bottling

Escape Recruitment are looking for Labeller Operator, ideally with bottling experience. Our client is an ambitious and rapidly growing spirits bottling and processing company based in East Kilbride

Shift Pattern.

Hours are Mon 8am5:30pm, Tues
Thursday 7:00am5:30pm.

Off every Friday and weekend.

No backshift or nightshift working

Salary:
£23,000 per annum

The role:

As Labeller Operator you will be responsible for the operation and operator asset care of labelling (and other) equipment, working to achieve maximum machine output. You will also be the key operator on a bottling line, second in command of the line you're working on. In this capacity you will be expected to coordinate the efforts of the rest of the line team, in order to meet plan at maximum efficiency.
The main role responsibilities are:
1.Health & Safety within Engineering areas
Operate in compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Legal and Quality system on site.
Ensure any accidents are reported in a timely manner.
Fully conversant with the site emergency plans.
Operations
Operate labeller machines, and other bottling equipment as required, to an excellent standard, recording setup standards, and deviations from norm.
Ensure the completion of all work on time and in full and suggest ideas to address any areas for improvement.
Take an active role in operator asset care.
Prioritise the daytoday reaction issues, with feedback to management and engineering on an ongoing basis.
Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standard across the line.
Coordinate line team activity in the absence of Bottling Hall Management
3.Continuous Improvement
Operate Makro labeller to an excellent standard.
Record all operational data as required.
Take part in root cause analysis into machinery failures to improve line uptime on site and feedback any improvement ideas.
Support Capex and CI projects as required.
3 years bottling experience.
A minimum of 2 years labeller operating experience, ideally on a Makro labeller
Knowledge of operator asset care and continuous improvement methodologies
Ideally some Line Lead experience
Demonstrate confident communication and organisational skills.
