    Job Description

    With our ongoing Expansion and Elevation Strategy, we are currently seeking a Network Operations Centre Technician to join our NOC . With a converged network connecting our Brands and Operations across 20+ countries, including Branch Locations, Distributions Centers, Cloud and Datacenters around the globe. Our growing team is looking for the perfect colleague to help with the continuing growth as well as our technology transformation journey.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to configure and optimize network devices, including Routers, Switches, Access Points, and IP Phones. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with network hardware, strong technical proficiency, and a passion for ensuring the seamless handover to operation of our network infrastructure.

    The role involves:

  • Device Configuration:
  • Configure and optimize hardware to meet network requirements.

    Implement and maintain network infrastructure and services.

    Resolve general device faults through troubleshooting and remote/direct access.

    Support device replacement through internal fulfilment requests.

    Keep in touch with new network technology supported by the NOC.

    Implement and adhere to security policies and best practices in all device configurations.

  • Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough testing of configured devices to ensure optimal performance.

    Identify and resolve any configuration-related issues promptly.

    Maintain Asset Management and device tracking during operations.

    Process hardware inventory, goods in and goods out processes.

  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with NOC Team members and other teams to understand design requirements.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network changes.

    Collaborate with the NOC team to troubleshoot and resolve network problems.

  • Documentation:
  • Update and maintain detailed documentation for all network configurations.

    Maintain standard operating procedures for device configuration and maintenance.

  • Troubleshooting:
  • Provide technical support for hardware-related issues and incidents.

    Verify deployments and perform hand over to operations tests.

    This role is based fulltime at our Shirebrook HQ

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

  • Clear passion for a career in IT, specifically networks, and looking to grow within the business.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and services.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting networking devices.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Desirable:

  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST), CompTIA Network+ or a demonstration of working towards, or a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field .
  • Experience in Network Infrastructure design
  • Technical knowledge of Wireless Technologies and general Wireless principles
