30hrs per week (5 days a week Mon-Fri 8.30am-3.30pm), 38.2 weeks per year.

This is a permanent position, following a successful probationary period.


Christchurch Infant School is seeking to appoint a Senior Teaching Assistant, to work within classrooms in the absence of the teacher.

The primary purpose of the post holder is to supervise and support pupils who are engaged in learning activities in accordance with the school policy and under direction of the class teachers.

Applicants should have extensive experience of supporting learning in schools. They should demonstrate good interpersonal skills and organisation, flexibility and knowledge of how to support children's learning effectively. A minimum of English and Maths GCSE grade C or equivalent is required.
